Equal Housing Opportunity
Fair Housing

Last updated: October 2026
Ashira Morris Real Estate is committed to the letter and spirit of U.S. policy for the achievement of equal housing opportunity throughout the Nation. We support an affirmative marketing program in which there are no barriers to obtaining housing because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin.
Federally Protected Classes
Under the federal Fair Housing Act, no one may be discriminated against in the sale, rental, or financing of housing on the basis of:
- Race
- Color
- Religion
- Sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation)
- National origin
- Disability
- Familial status
Additional Protections in California
California's Fair Employment and Housing Act extends these protections further, including on the basis of source of income, marital status, age, ancestry, genetic information, citizenship, immigration status, primary language, military or veteran status, and other characteristics protected under state law.
What This Means in Practice
Every client and prospective client receives the same professional service, the same access to information, and the same standard of care — without exception. We do not steer, screen, or limit housing choices on any protected basis, and we market every property to all segments of the community.
Report Discrimination
If you believe you have experienced discrimination in housing, you have the right to file a complaint:
- U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD): hud.gov/fairhousing · 1-800-669-9777
